The task
Six months ago, we updated GMT's dependency from `gdal` to `libgdal-core` (see https://github.com/conda-forge/gmt-feedstock/commit/48fb3f0f19c9f3d082a98acac139eecbf9cd3922), so now only the GDAL C library is included, without the Python bindings. This explains why `importlib` fails.
