`BarrelList.__getitem__` is broken for all integer index accesses. Valid indices (including `0`, `-1`, and arbitrary in-range indices) raise `IndexError`, while truly out-of-bounds indices (e.g. `bl[len(bl)]`) raise `TypeError: list indices must be integers or slices, not NoneType` instead of the expected `IndexError`.
